Who We Are
Dauson Environmental Group is a diverse collection of companies specialising in Demolition, Remediation, Construction and Resource Management. Our integrated approach allows us to deliver comprehensive and sustainable solutions across a wide range of environmental and construction challenges.
A family built business for over 30 years, Dauson Environmental group has grown to become one of the largest independent resource management providers in Wales. It currently directly employs nearly 300 people across all its businesses and across the group.
How It Started
Neal Soil Suppliers Ltd was established in 1992 by David Neal, and run from their premises in Rumney, Cardiff principally to market and dispose of surplus topsoil generated by the creation of feeding grounds for displaced estuary birds prior to the development of Penarth Marina and the Cardiff Bay Barrage.
The Company developed its services further and expanded in conjunction with the aggressive regeneration of the capital city during the 1990’s and early 2000’s; during this time both the transport and plant fleets were expanded considerably to service the demands of an ever-expanding customer base.
We were pleased to have forged strong links with major national contractors during this period, principally built on service and quality, as a result, we have been involved in some ofthe capital city’s principal engineering projects such as the removal of demolition material from the old Cardiff Arms Park during its redevelopment into the Principality Stadium, the development of Callahan Square and St David’s 2 Retail Areas and the reinstatement of former landfill sites at Ferry Road and Lamby Way.
How It's Going
The Company is still wholly owned and privately run, but has developed and diversified considerably over the past three decades into one of the principal contractors and suppliers to industry for products and services including demolition, remediation, construction, and resource management, including and soil processing.
Our complete portfolio of services was initially available solely through Neal Soil Suppliers, but the expansion and growth of the business necessitated that these individual services be formally annexed and operated as individual companies, hence the formation of Atlantic Recycling, Neal Remediation and Bluefield Land. Other business such as Cardiff Demolition and Resources Management UK Ltd were acquired as going concerns and continue to operate under those banners.
While all the subsidiary companies are operated independently with their own Management, Dauson Environmental acts as the parent company and oversees Group performance, strategic aims & development, investments, policy, and procedure.
